El Greco is the most modern of all the Old Masters. In company with Shakespeare and Cervantes, he is the great inextinguishable star of his age. The present publication is a monumental edition which is designed to do ample justice to El Greco’s importance. This volume contains all the Master’s principal works, reproduced as a whole, together with 100 detail reproductions, mostly in their actual size, which distinctly show his brush work and thus allow Greco to be here, for the first time, really “seen”.
